Smolii Not Foreseeing Significant Staff Reshuffling In NBU's If He Appointed Central Bank's Governor

Acting Chairperson of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakiv Smolii does intend to make any meaningful changes in the personnel if he gets appointed as chairperson of the Central Bank.

Smolii told this to journalists, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"I do not expect and significant reshuffling. We will have one position open for a deputy at the settlements and money flow department. The candidate will be selected through an open contest," Smolii said.

The Acting Chairperson assessed the chances of Rada approving his candidacy as very strong.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko suggested the Parliament dismiss NBU's Chair Hontareva and assign her duties to Smolii.
