Ukraine And Moldova Introduce Joint Control At Palanca Border Crossing
Ukraine and Moldova have introduced joint control at the Palanca border crossing (Odesa region).
The press service of the State Border Service announced this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the statement, the establishment of joint control at the Mayaky-Udobne-Palanca border crossing will help to speed up border traffic.
The Palanca border crossing is the sixth border crossing where Ukrainian and Moldovan border guards and customs officers will perform joint controls.
The two countries plan to introduce joint control at two more border crossings on the territory of Ukraine (Platonove-Goyanul Nou and Kuchurgan-Novosavytske) in 2018.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Moldovan parliament has ratified its agreement on readmission (reception and transfer of persons illegally located on the territory of the country) with Ukraine.
