11 Policemen, Several Border Guards Injured During Breakthrough Organized By Saakashvili Supporters At Shehyni Border Checkpoint
11 employees of the National Police and several the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine were injured during a breakthrough organized by supporters of former chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration / leader of the New Forces Movement political party Mikheil Saakashvili at the Shehyni border checkpoint in Lviv region.
The Border Service has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, a group of unknown unleashed a scuffle with policemen and border guards, broke through the state border along with a crowd of people including members of the Ukrainian Parliament.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Saakashvili and his supporters have broken through cordon of law enforcers and entered the Ukrainian territory through the Shehyni border checkpoint.
The National Police intends to bring to administrative responsibility supporters of Saakashvili for violation of rules at the Shehyni border checkpoint.
