European Council President Tusk Predicting End Of Work At Association Agreement Within Weeks, Poroshenko Expecting Enactment Of Agreement From September

President of the European Council Donald Tusk predicts that the work on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union will be accomplished in several weeks and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is expecting enactment of the Association Agreement on September 1, 2017.

They announced this at a joint news briefing in Brussels on June 22, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"In several weeks we will accomplish the work on the Association Agreement," said President of the European Council Tusk in Ukrainian.

President Poroshenko said the Association Agreement will start working in full and will take effect on September 1, 2017.

President Poroshenko says the Association Agreement will be a "road map" of further reforms for Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is on working visit in Brussels on June 22 for participating in the summit of the European People's Party, meetings with leaders of the European Union and President of the European Council Donald Tusk.
