Official Unemployment Rate Down 0.2 Percentage Point To 1.5% In March

In March 2017, the official unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percentage point to 1.5%.

The State Statistics Service has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As at April 1, 2017, the State Employment Service registered 406,800 unemployed people.

A total of 439,400 unemployed were registered at the State Employment Service as at March 1, 2017.

The number of unemployed, who received state assistance in March was 332,800; the average allowance was UAH 2,028 per person.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February 2017, the official unemployment rate rose by 0.1 percentage point to 1.7%.
