NBU Denies Resignation Statement Submission By Hontareva

The National Bank of Ukraine has denied information saying that Chair of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Hontareva had submitted her resignation statement.

Ukrainian News Agency has learnt this from the head of the NBU press-service

"We do not confirm that information," he said.

Central bank press-service notes that the NBU usually warns about any reshuffles a month in advance.

On April 3, Deputy Chairperson of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction Iryna Lutsenko stated that Hontareva had written her resignation statement.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Hontareva admitted she could sign the next memorandum with the International Monetary Fund for the last time on the post of the NBU head.
