Poroshenko: 193 National Guard Officers Killed Since ATO Start

A total of 193 national guard officers have been killed since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation.

President Petro Poroshenko announced this at a ceremony on occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the National Guard, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Poroshenko also noted that a total of 1,175 National Guard officers have been awarded to date; mayor general Serhii Kulchytskyi and lieutenant Bohdan Zavada were granted the title of the Hero of Ukraine posthumously.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the occasion of the Day of the National Guard of Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko congratulated soldiers and officers of the National Guard and thanked them for their service to the Ukrainian people.
