Economy Ministry Hopes Ukraine To Rank In Top 40 Of World Bank's Doing Business Index In 2018

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade hopes that Ukraine will rank in the top 40 of the World Bank's Doing Business index in 2018.

First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maksym Nefiodov announced this at a Cabinet of Ministers session, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Now the country holds rank 81.

The Ministry has mounted initiatives to enable attracting foreign investment.

Inter alia, the Ministry has initiated abolition of the affixation of seals on certain documents, and also separate registration of a new legal entity as VAT payer.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, this January the Economy Ministry hoped that Ukraine would rank in the top 50 of the World Bank's Doing Business index in 2018.
