IMF Confirms Its Mission Will Arrive In Ukraine In Early November

A mission from the International Monetary Fund will arrive in Ukraine in early November.

The IMF's Director of Communications Gerry Rice confirmed this at a news briefing.

The IMF representative also said that disbursement of funds to Ukraine would depend on the outcome of the mission's work.

The National Bank of Ukraine's head Valeria Hontareva recently said that an IMF mission would arrive in Ukraine in early November.

The National Bank of Ukraine expects the IMF to disburse UAH 1.3 billion to Ukraine before the end of this year and UAH 5.4 billion in 2017.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Ministry of Finance announced on October 10 that it expected an IMF mission to arrive in Ukraine on October 26.

However, the IMF mission did not arrive in Ukraine on October 26.

An IMF mission last visited Ukraine from 10 to 18 May 2016.

The International Monetary Fund has scheduled the next (third) review of its cooperation program with Ukraine for 15 November 2016.

The fourth review of the program is scheduled for 15 February 2017 (the amount of the tranche is USD 1.986 billion), the fifth review for 15 May 2017 (USD 1.33 billion), the sixth for 15 August 2017 (USD 1.33 billion), and the seventh for 15 November 2017 (USD 735.8 million).
