NATO Willing To Assist Ukraine In Resisting Russia's Aggression

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) says it is willing to assist Ukraine in resisting Russia's aggression and illegal acts.

The Mission of Ukraine to NATO announced this in a statement following Deputy Foreign Minister Olena Zerkal's meeting with Steven Hill, Legal Adviser and Director of the Office of Legal Affairs at NATO, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The NATO party expressed its willingness to provide maximum assistance to Ukraine in these areas," it reads.

The international legal measures aimed at counteracting Russia's aggressive and illegal actions towards Ukraine were on the agenda, as well as release of the Ukrainians illegally detained in Russia.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko thinks that Ukraine's strategic task to accede to the NATO.
