Overnight, russia launched combined strike on Kyiv and surrounding region; explosions were heard in capital
On the night of July 27–28, russian occupation forces carried out yet another airstrike on Kyiv and the Kyiv Region. A series of explosions was heard in the capital during the air raid alert. It was reported by the Air Forces.
Enemy jet-powered drones were heading toward the capital. Residents of Kyiv and the region were urged to immediately take shelter in civil defense facilities due to the threat of strikes.
In addition to the drone attack, at approximately 12:54 a.m., air defense forces and monitoring channels detected an enemy missile moving within the Kyiv Region—the target was heading toward Makariv.
Information regarding the consequences of the attack, possible damage, or casualties is currently being verified.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 26, russian troops launched a massive ballistic strike on the capital, firing several weapons at the city via the Chernihiv Region. Fires and damage occurred in three districts of Kyiv as a result of falling debris; in particular, an 18-story residential building, a warehouse, and more than a dozen cars were on fire.
