FSB agent detained in Poltava who tried to cause blackout

The security service detained an FSB agent who tried to cause a blackout in the Poltava Region.

This is stated in the SSU's message on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the case materials, the attacker was conducting additional reconnaissance near the key energy facilities of the region that supply the regional center and surrounding areas.

The detainee turned out to be a student of a local university recruited by the enemy; she came to the attention of the FSB when she was looking for "easy" earnings in Telegram channels.

"After recruitment, the agent, under the guise of walking, walked around the city and the surrounding area to record the locations of energy facilities on which the russians were preparing an air strike," law enforcement officials said.

In addition, the attacker traveled around the region by taxi and took photos and videos of Ukrainian air defense units.

It is noted that the SSU officers exposed the agent in advance and detained her. During the search, smartphones and computer equipment with evidence of working for the enemy were seized from her.

Investigators of the Security Service informed the detainee of suspicion of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The attacker is currently in custody without the right to post bail. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, SSU operatives in Dnipro detained a man who activated more than 1,000 Starlink terminals for the enemy.
