Military base on fire in Engels; military airfield facilities located nearby; large-scale fire raging in Rostov – social media

On the night of Saturday, July 25, a missile alert and a drone attack warning were issued in the russian city of Engels in the Saratov Oblast. A major fire has been reported, likely on the grounds of a military base. A large-scale fire also broke out in Rostov.

It was reported by the Telegram channel Astra.

According to an OSINT analyst, a building on Engels Street, 1, is on fire. The building is likely home to a military unit.

At the same time, a resident of Engels stated that he did not hear any sounds of an attack and suggested that the fire is not related to the strikes.

Facilities of the Engels-2 military airfield are located in the immediate vicinity of the burning building.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 16, the Security Service of Ukraine destroyed a Tu-95 military aircraft in the russian city of Engels that had been used for russian missile strikes against Ukraine.
