Kallas will propose new sanctions against russia in response to attacks on Ukrainian cities on July 24

EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas stated that she will propose new sanctions against russia in response to today’s attacks by the aggressor state on Ukrainian cities.

She announced this on X.

“Russia’s indiscriminate attacks on Kyiv and other regions cause civilian casualties by design, not by accident,” Kallas emphasized.

She also highlighted the strike on the Latvian Honorary Consulate in Sloviansk, which, in her words, underscores moscow’s complete disregard for international law. Kallas also stressed that Latvia has the EU’s full support.

“In response, we will summon Russia’s envoy to the EU over today's strikes and I will propose more listings aimed at Russia’s military-industrial complex,” the EU’s top diplomat said.
