Serhii Kuiun, the director of the "A-95" Consulting Group, has reported that yesterday there was a massive price increase at gas stations, which was evident even a week ago, and prices will continue to rise.

He wrote about it on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"One thing should be noted: the world market began to grow on July 7, and the columns began to increase in two weeks. This is before talking about what is rising in price quickly and where are the reserves. Here they are - they held prices for two weeks. The reasons. First, a new escalation in Iran and a new blockade of Hormuz. Oil is already USD 90 / barrel (it had fallen to 72), diesel fuel - USD 1,200 / ton (875). The second is the shortage of petroleum products, in particular on the European market. Oil supplies to European refineries have fallen. Russia has closed the export of diesel fuel, and at the same time began to "vacuum" gasoline on the world market," Kuiun writes.

According to him, the situation is reminiscent of March, when Ukrainian companies faced problems with the purchase of diesel.

He gave an example when a huge tanker with 100,000 tons of oil was going to the Romanian port of Constanța, where Ukraine buys a lot of resources. t with a Middle Eastern diesel engine, but on the way someone gave more money and he changed course. All pre-orders were canceled.

In the future, according to the expert, based on current wholesale prices, diesel fuel will rise to at least UAH 86/l (currently 79) and A-95 gasoline at least UAH 83/l (77 today).

"Some corrections are possible in the course of the case due to further fluctuations of the foreign market, but most likely only in the direction of increase. Cooling in the Middle East is not visible yet. And this phase of the crisis may be more difficult than in the spring, since the next two months are the peak of seasonal consumption, and stocks of oil and oil products" summarized Serhii Kuiun.
