Defense Ministry codifies new Tsyklop UAV interceptor

The Ministry of Defense codified and allowed for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine an effective Ukrainian Tsyklop UAV, designed to engage enemy air and ground targets.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this on its official website, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Tsyklop UAV was developed at a Ukrainian enterprise that has experience in manufacturing military equipment specifically for performing tasks in modern high-intensity warfare.

Various modifications of the Tsyklop have been operating at the front for several years.

The Tsyklop UAV has several modifications aimed at performing various military tasks:

some are cheaper, structurally simpler and easier to operate, designed to engage ground targets or air targets that move slowly and at low altitudes; others have significantly higher tactical and technical characteristics, designed to effectively defeat high-speed Shaheds at a considerable height.

The Tsyklop UAV has a wingspan of slightly more than 1 m, can stay in the air for almost 1.5 hours. It rises higher than the maximum operating altitude of russian strike or reconnaissance aerial drones.

The radius of action of the complex is enough to cover any regional center of Ukraine from unmanned aerial attack vehicles.

To date, the Tsyklop V2 UAV has already destroyed over a hundred air targets, including Gerbera, Zala; Orlan, Supercam, Lancet, Molniya, etc.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense previously codified and allowed the Ukrainian-made Shvidun unmanned aerial vehicle complex to be operated in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
