Population deposits in banks up 2.8% to record-breaking UAH 1.5 trillion in June
In June, the amount of funds placed by individuals in bank accounts in hryvnia and foreign currency, according to operational data, increased by 2.8% to UAH 1,519.983 billion.
This is evidenced by data from the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, the amount of deposits of the population in banks has increased by 8.7% from UAH 1,398.536 billion.
Hryvnia deposits of the population in banks during the reporting period increased by 3.5% to UAH 1,022.611 billion.
At the same time, the amount of foreign currency deposits of the population in hryvnia equivalent in the reporting month increased by 1.5% to UAH 497.372 billion.
Deposits of legal entities (hryvnia and foreign currency) during the reporting period remained almost unchanged and amounted to UAH 1,705.615 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2025, the volume of population deposits in banks increased by 15.4% from UAH 1,212.775 billion.
In 2024, the volume of population deposits in banks increased by 12.6% from UAH 1,078.346 billion.
In 2023, the volume of population deposits in banks increased by 16.5% from UAH 926.488 billion.
