Six tankers, two tugboats, oil depot, bridges, and other russian military facilities hit - General Staff
On the night of Thursday, July 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and military-economic targets of the russian occupiers. It was reported in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Specifically, six tankers and two tugboats were struck in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.
“The tankers are used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, as well as to transport fuel for the Russian Federation’s Armed Forces,” the military noted.
The Defense Forces also struck the “Shakhtarsk” oil depot in Shakhtarsk, Donetsk Region. The extent of the damage and the results of the strike are being assessed.
In addition, a road bridge near Prymorsk in the Zaporizhzhia Region and the “Syvash” railway bridge near Chonhar (Autonomous Republic of Crimea)—which russian occupiers use for military logistics—were struck.
Among other targets, a warehouse containing the enemy’s electronic warfare equipment in the area of Novodariivka of the Luhansk Region was struck.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, SSU maritime drones attacked the russian “shadow fleet” tankers “Louise 1” and “Banda” in the Black Sea.
