Rada extends martial law and mobilization until November
The Verkhovna Rada extended the term of martial law and general mobilization from August 2 for 90 days, that is, until October 31, 2026.
313 and 311 MPs voted for bills No. 15401 (extension of martial law) and 15402 (general mobilization), respectively, with the minimum required 226, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The bills approve decrees No. 596 and No. 597 of July 13, already signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the extension of martial law in Ukraine and the term of general mobilization from August 2, 2026 for 90 days.
This is the 20th vote of the parliament on these issues.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 28, the Verkhovna Rada extended the term of martial law and general mobilization from May 4 for 90 days, i.e. until August 2, 2026.
On February 24, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada approved the introduction of martial law by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in connection with russia's start of the war and the announcement and conduct of general mobilization.
