Population ups purchase of currency more than twice to USD 482 million in June

Net purchase of currency by the population in June of this year increased 2.1 times to USD 482 million in equivalent.

This is evidenced by data from the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Purchase of non-cash currency in June amounted to USD 378 million, and sales – USD 402 million.

The volume of purchase of cash currency in June increased and amounted to USD 1.974 billion, and sales – decreased to USD 1.468 billion.

Thus, the net purchase of cash currency by the population last month amounted to USD 506 million.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May, the population bought the smallest volume of currency this year – USD 231 million.
