Russia, the aggressor nation, is amassing resources and forces to launch new massive strikes against Ukraine. Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported this on Facebook on Saturday, July 4.

Syrskyi noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are strengthening their air defense, air cover, and electronic warfare capabilities to counter the missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and towns. According to him, the number of interceptor drone crews and the effectiveness of their combat operations are increasing every month. Strikes on military targets deep within russia are also continuing, particularly at sites where air-attack weapons are manufactured, stored, and launched.

"At the same time, the enemy is not abandoning its aggressive plans and is amassing forces and resources for new massive strikes. That is precisely why we will continue to build up the capabilities of our direct air defense forces. This means saving the lives of our citizens and service members, protecting critical infrastructure, ensuring the stable operation of enterprises, and safeguarding Ukrainian homes,” the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.

Following the meeting, Syrskyi instructed that systems to counter the aggressor’s air threats be further developed.
