AMCU authorize Crédit Agricole Bank to acquire Bank Lviv

The Antimonopoly Committee has authorized Crédit Agricole Bank (Kyiv) to acquire Bank Lviv.

This is stated in a press release from the Antimonopoly Committee, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Crédit Agricole Bank is owned by the French group Crédit Agricole.

According to data on the National Bank of Ukraine’s website as of early 2026, Icelandic citizen Margeir Pétursson indirectly owned 27.94% of the bank’s shares. Another 41.15% was owned by responsAbility Participations AG, 20.49% by the Dutch fund Stichting fondsbeheer DGGF lokaal MKB, and 10.39% by the Finnish Nordic Environment Finance Corporation.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, it was previously announced that the completion of the transaction would depend on the fulfillment of a number of preconditions, including obtaining regulatory approvals from the National Bank of Ukraine and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, and it is expected to be finalized by mid-2026.
