Businessman Spector commented on the searches and stated that he had no ties to pro-Russian forces

Ukrainian businessman, co-owner of InvestBud Garant LLC and K.A.N., commented on the earlier searches and stated that he rejects any accusations of aiding sanctioned individuals or pro-Russian forces. According to him, during the full-scale war, the companies of which he is a co-owner paid over 813 million hryvnias in taxes to the state budget.

According to Spektor, the basis for the search conducted on June 2, 2026, was the investigation’s theory that he allegedly assisted a pro-Russian figure in evading sanctions.

“I reject all potential allegations of committing any criminal offenses. I have never had any connection to any pro-Russian forces, including Viktor Medvedchuk, who are engaged in subversive activities in Ukraine and pose a threat to Ukraine’s sovereignty and statehood,” the businessman stated.

He also emphasized that he has never had any joint business projects or financial ties with representatives of pro-Russian forces.

“I have never had any joint business projects or financial ties with representatives of pro-Russian forces, and I have never supported them in their illegal activities,” Spector noted.

The businessman separately commented on the activities of the companies of which he is a co-owner. According to him, all revenue from InvestBud Garant LLC is directed toward expenses related to the maintenance of the Blockbuster Mall shopping center.

“The Blockbuster Mall shopping center itself does not generate a profit and does not pay dividends; therefore, it is impossible to finance any individuals through the operations of this shopping center,” he emphasized.

According to Spektor, from March 2022 through June 2026, InvestBud Garant LLC paid over 332 million hryvnias in taxes to the state budget.

At the same time, K.A.N. LLC, which manages the Senator business center in Kyiv, has a transparent corporate structure and has not taken any actions to benefit individuals subject to sanctions, he said.

“From 2021 through June 2026, K.A.N." paid over 481 million hryvnias in taxes and never helped any sanctioned individuals circumvent financial restrictions,” he noted.

Spektor also emphasized that after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, his companies have supported the Ukrainian military.

“Since the start of the full-scale invasion, my companies have regularly transferred funds to the official accounts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as purchased and delivered supplies and equipment to individual military units,” the businessman said.

Separately, he stated that he continues to work and invest in Ukraine.

“Throughout the war, I have remained in Ukraine, continuing to work, invest in the Ukrainian economy, create jobs, and pay taxes. I have never had any ties to Russian businesses during the war, and I have nothing to hide,” Spector emphasized.

He added that he is cooperating with the investigation and views the work of law enforcement positively.

“In my opinion, investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine are conducting themselves properly and in accordance with the law. At this time, I have no complaints regarding their work. I guarantee full cooperation with law enforcement agencies and full assistance in establishing the truth,” the businessman stated.

According to Spector, he is counting on the investigation to be objective.

“I fully accept that law enforcement agencies must clarify all the circumstances. I hope that the investigation will be fair and objective, and that the truth regarding my lack of involvement in any assistance to pro-Russian forces in evading sanctions will be established,” he concluded.
