The Ukrainian Army plans to expand the use of experimental technologies designed to counter russian attack drones and FPV drones.

General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has announced this.

He noted that the nature of modern combat is constantly changing. The russian side’s intensive use of attack UAVs and FPV drones requires the development of effective technological tools capable of enhancing the protection of Ukrainian troops on the front lines. To address this issue, the Commander-in-Chief attended demonstration tests of the latest countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles.

The event was coordinated by the Central Directorate for Innovation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which serves as the primary platform for communication between military scientists, developers, and defense industry enterprises. Domestic manufacturers presented their own promising projects and demonstrated how they function under conditions that are as close as possible to real combat situations.

According to Syrskyi, the recorded results indicate the significant potential of these developments and their ability to further minimize the effectiveness of russian air attack capabilities.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that, for security reasons, the technical parameters, operational algorithms, and potential deployment options for these systems will remain undisclosed. According to him, the main goal is for russian troops to experience the effects of these systems firsthand during combat.

In the near future, experts will conduct a detailed analysis of the test results. Based on these findings, the leadership will make a decision regarding increasing production volumes and the further integration of the systems into the operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The Commander-in-Chief assured that work is currently underway to maintain Ukraine’s technological advantage.
