The Ukrainian Armed Forces have carried out a series of successful strikes against military and logistical facilities of the russian invaders, both on russian territory and in the temporarily occupied territories. It was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of June 18, Ukrainian forces launched a second attack on the moscow Oil Refinery, which supplies fuel to the russian army. The refinery has a capacity of over 12 million metric tons of oil per year. A large-scale fire has been reported on the refinery’s grounds—with at least five separate fire sites. According to preliminary geolocation data, a combined oil refining unit, secondary refining units, and a tank farm are on fire.

In addition, the Gukovo oil depot in the Rostov Oblast — used to store and transship fuel and lubricants for the russian federation’s military needs — has been hit. Strikes and fires have also been reported there.

To disrupt the logistics of the occupying forces, the Defense Forces attacked two key transportation hubs. The targets included a road bridge across the Kalka River near Hranitne in the Donetsk Region and a railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal near Rozdolne in the occupied Crimea. The enemy actively used both facilities for military transport.

Additionally, an occupiers’ command post was struck in the area of Soledar; fuel and lubricant depots were hit in Mariupol and Piatypillia; and a logistics depot was struck in the area of Boikivske.

The General Staff additionally released confirmed results of previous operations. Specifically, as a result of the June 14 strike on the Palkino oil pumping station in the Yaroslavl Oblast, seven storage tanks with a total capacity of 95,000 cubic meters were destroyed. Attacks on June 13 damaged three storage tanks and a section of the oil pipeline at the Kotovsk plant in the Volgograd Oblast, as well as five vertical storage tanks at the “Tamanneftegaz” oil terminal in the Krasnodar Krai.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy confirmed the second strike this week on the moscow Oil Refinery, which he called a “just response.”
