International competition announced for position of Chairman of Board of Energoatom company

The Supervisory Board of the Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company begins the formation of a new professional board of the company - an international competitive selection for the position of Chairman of the Board of the company has been announced.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The message states that the company is looking for a leader with an impeccable professional reputation and proven experience in managing large, complex, strategically important and capital-intensive organizations, and to ensure a professional selection process that meets the best international practices, the Supervisory Board has engaged two leading international recruiting companies - Korn Ferry and Odgers.

These companies will conduct a global search for candidates, assess management and leadership competencies, and also provide support to the Supervisory Board at all stages of the competitive selection.

It is noted that after the appointment, the Supervisory Board will continue to perform its supervisory and control functions, in particular, through regular assessment of the activities of the Chairman of the Board and the application of accountability mechanisms in accordance with the Company's corporate governance system and legislative requirements.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of January, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new composition of the Supervisory Board of the Energoatom based on the nomination committee's submission.

JSC Energoatom is the largest power generating company in Ukraine and the operator of the national nuclear generation park, which provides over 55% of electricity production in the country and is one of the key elements of the state's energy security.

In 2025, the company produced over 54 billion kWh of electricity.
