The La-Dy spa hotel in the occupied city of Saky in Crimea has stopped a promotional campaign to distribute free gasoline to guests after the 100-liter supply was completely used up in less than a week.

The hotel itself announced this on social networks.

On June 5, the establishment announced the terms of the campaign, under which guests could receive 10 liters of gasoline when booking for two or more days and 20 liters for three or more days. Fuel was given out during check-in upon request from the visitor.

Four days after the launch, the initiative was stopped. Hotel representatives reported that a total of about 100 liters of fuel were distributed - approximately 10 liters for each of the ten rooms, after which the reserves ran out.

The establishment explained that the campaign was launched as a bonus for guests and did not count on such demand. After the program ended, visitors began to be offered compensation for travel expenses or the organization of a transfer.

What is happening in Crimea with gasoline

Amid the fuel shortage in Crimea in the spring, restrictions on its sale were introduced in Sevastopol. According to local authorities with ties to the russian federation, among the measures is the issuance of QR codes for obtaining coupons for purchasing gasoline at the TES gas station network, which allow purchasing up to 20 liters per week. Such codes, according to the governor appointed by russia, Mikhail Razvozhaev, are deciphered within seconds of appearing in the system.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, amid a fuel shortage, a black market has emerged with home delivery of gasoline and a sharp increase in prices, where a liter of AI-95 is sold for up to RUB 160. According to the National Resistance Center, some of these schemes are associated with the russian military and their entourage, who use access to resources to resell fuel in conditions of shortage at legal gas stations. Meanwhile, on the night of Wednesday, June 10, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces damaged a number of important facilities of the military-industrial and fuel and energy complex of the aggressor country, russia.
