Zelenskyy confirms Flamingo missile strikes on Cheboksary plant and three russian oil facilities
On the night of June 10, Ukrainian long-range FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles successfully hit a defense enterprise in the russian city of Cheboksary, as well as three oil infrastructure facilities in other regions of the russian federation. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on Facebook.
According to the head of state, a military plant in Cheboksary, which supplies the russian army with components for drones and missiles, was hit. The President noted that the application of Ukrainian long-range sanctions against military facilities and the enemy's oil industry continues.
"This night, Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingos hit a military plant in Cheboksary, which supplies the occupying army with components for drones and missiles. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the accuracy! The Kuibyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara Oblast was also hit last night. The distance from the front line is over 900 kilometers," Zelenskyy wrote.
The President also reported on the successful operation of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Vladimir Oblast, where two more oil infrastructure facilities were hit at a distance of 700 kilometers. For the implementation of these long-range strikes, the Head of State expressed gratitude to the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces (SOF), the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), and the Defense Intelligence.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in Cheboksary, russia, a thousand kilometers from the border with Ukraine, a fire broke out at the strategic enterprise "VNIIR-Progress" after a missile strike. In addition, other regions of the russian federation were also under large-scale attack that same night. Thus, in Samara, russia, on the night of June 10, a fire broke out at the Kuibyshev oil refinery after reports of a drone attack.
