Trilateral peace talks are "on pause." Leaders' meeting needed - Sybiha
The trilateral format of peace efforts led by the United States has reached its limit of effectiveness and is "on pause." That is why a meeting at the leaders' level is necessary. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated this in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, May 29.
Sybiha stressed that the peace efforts led by the United States are currently "on pause." According to him, the involvement of the United States remains critically important for the peace process.
"The trilateral format at the delegation level has reached its limit of effectiveness, therefore a meeting at the leadership level is necessary," the Foreign Minister said.
In addition, Sybiha stated the potential for strengthening Europe's role in peace processes, in particular those related to local ceasefire regimes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 25, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated russia's lack of interest in the peace process.
