Ukrposhta launches new format for receiving parcels

Joint-stock company Ukrposhta is launching a new format for receiving parcels without queues at the operator.

This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The message states that it is now possible to pick up a parcel at Ukrposhta without waiting in the general queue at the operator.

To do this, the company is installing special express pickup lockers inside the branches.

Thus, some of Ukrposhta's shipments will be automatically sent for collection in a new format, namely, after the parcel arrives, the client receives an SMS with an access code, opens his section and picks up the shipment himself - without contacting the operator.

It is noted that, unlike classic post offices, these pickup lockers work directly at the branches and are available during their working hours.

But the usual service format remains available.

At the first stage, the new format will work in 400 branches - primarily in cities with a population of more than a million and regional centers.

A pilot project has already been launched in Kyiv and Kyiv region: the first 120 express pickup lockers have been installed there.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrposhta launched delivery to post offices without any surcharges for convenience and added new features to the application for managing shipments.
