The russian occupiers have set up production of FPV drones based on captured or damaged Ukrainian Armed Forces drones. The invaders are disassembling hundreds of captured drones to assemble their own combat units.

This was reported by the TASS propaganda agency of the aggressor country.

A special military laboratory operates as part of the "South" group of invaders. The facility is located in the temporarily occupied Donetsk Region.

The workshop assembles about 300-400 combat FPV drones in 15 days. To get one working device, the russians use parts from 5 or 6 captured Ukrainian drones. In total, they process about 1,500 captured UAVs in two weeks.

The laboratory works according to a clear algorithm. First, the enemy intercepts Ukrainian drones with electronic warfare systems, and then they are delivered to the workshop.

"I can say that in 15 days, two weeks, on average, our laboratory assembles about 300-350, a maximum of 400 drones. We need to sort through 1,500 Ukrainian drones to assemble 300-400 of ours," one of the occupiers told the propagandists.

Most often, motherboards and printed circuit boards, engines, body elements and other usable spare parts are removed from Ukrainian equipment.

The process is divided between groups. Some specialists are engaged in dismantling, while others update the firmware so that the drones work on the enemy's frequencies. A separate group assembles ready-made systems and immediately trains pilots.

Such laboratories significantly help the russian army. According to various estimates, the occupiers launch more than 1,000 attack drones per week. If the data on production in Donetsk is true, this laboratory alone covers about 25% of the enemy's needs.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, over the past 24 hours, on May 22, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized 1,819 operational-tactical-level UAVs of the invading country.
