Oil terminal on fire after drone strike in Novorossiysk, russia - local authorities and publics

In Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, russia, an oil terminal caught fire as a result of a drone attack.

The russians traditionally report that the fire at the oil depot was allegedly caused by "the fall of drone debris".

"There are no victims. Several technical and administrative buildings caught fire. Drone debris also fell on the territory of the fuel terminal", the operational headquarters stated.

According to Astra's OSINT analysis, the Sheskharis transshipment complex is probably on fire.

The Sheskharis transshipment complex is the largest oil terminal in southern russia, part of the structure of Chernomortransneft JSC (Transneft PJSC). The facility provides reception, storage and export shipment of oil and oil products on tankers.

Later, Astra noted that according to its OSINT analysis, the Grushova Balka oil depot is on fire.

The report added that the Sheskharis transshipment complex is the end point of Transneft PJSC's main oil pipelines in the Krasnodar Krai. The transshipment complex includes two industrial sites - Grushova and Sheskharis, located 12 km from each other.

On the night of March 2, a large fire broke out at the Sheskharis oil terminal in Novorossiysk as a result of a kamikaze drone attack. Later, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack on the terminal.
