The National Police has stepped up security measures in the border areas of the northern regions, including checks of citizens’ documents and vehicles. The National Police announced this on its Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

It is noted that the combined special-purpose police brigades "Volya" and "Skelya," the combined rifle regiment of the Patrol Police Department "Khyzhak-3," as well as special-purpose units of the National Police’s regional headquarters, which are carrying out tasks in coordination with military command, are involved in the operations.

"As part of these measures, there will be increased patrolling of border areas, additional checkpoints, checks of citizens’ documents and vehicles, as well as other preventive measures provided for by current Ukrainian legislation," the National Police warns.

It is noted that to ensure the proper execution of these tasks, additional personnel and special armored vehicles are being deployed to designated areas.
