Demand for new cars imported from China decreased in April - UkrAutoprom
In April 2026, Ukrainians purchased 0.3% fewer cars imported from China, namely 1,252 units compared to April 2025.
This is stated in the message of the UkrAutoprom association, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Of this number: new - 1,076 units (+4%), and used - 176 units (-21%).
It is noted that the absolute majority of cars from the PRC were electric cars - 46.1%, in April 2025 it was 82%.
Hybrid - 30%; gasoline cars - 19.6%; diesel - 4.1%, cars with LPG - 0.2%.
The most popular models of new passenger cars of Chinese origin: BYD Sea Lion 06 - 102 units; BYD Leopard 3 - 96 units; BYD Song L - 94 units; MG ZS - 52 units and Chery Tiggo 4 - 51 units.
The most popular models of used passenger cars from the PRC: BYD Song L - 22 units; Buick Envision - 15 units; KIA EV5 - 9 units; BYD Sea Lion 05 - 8 units and BYD Song Plus - 7 units.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February 2026, Ukrainians purchased 48% fewer passenger cars imported from China, namely 466 units compared to February 2025.
In 2025, Ukrainians purchased 2 times more cars imported from China, namely 29,300 units compared to 2024.
