High-rise building, park and infrastructure facility damaged in Odesa due to russian attack
On the night of May 20, russian occupiers launched a massive attack on Odesa. A hit was recorded on a high-rise building—without detonation. An infrastructure facility, a park, and warehouse buildings were damaged, and a single-story building was destroyed.
Serhii Lysak, the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, has reported this.
As of 7:00 a.m., it is known that in one district of the city, a single-story building was completely destroyed as a result of the russian attack, and the fire there has been extinguished.
In addition, a high-rise building sustained hits to its upper floors without detonation. Damage was also reported in one of the city parks. There were no casualties.
Infrastructure facilities were damaged, and several cars and storage facilities were burned.
"Utility workers are already clearing up the aftermath of the strikes and removing debris from the areas. An emergency response center has been set up, where affected residents are receiving necessary assistance and submitting applications for the restoration of damaged housing," Lysak reported.
According to Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, civilian and critical infrastructure facilities were damaged in the Odesa Region overnight.
He specified that a warehouse containing tableware and an unfinished high-rise building were damaged. Debris was reported to have fallen in a park, and the fire has been extinguished.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian occupation forces carried out a massive drone attack on the Sumy Region. Last night, enemy UAV strikes were recorded in the residential areas of the Konotop and Shostka communities.
