Russia attacks Chinese ship in territorial waters of Ukraine - Navy

On the night of May 18, russian troops attacked a Chinese merchant ship that was in Ukrainian territorial waters. The invaders used a Shahed type strike drone to strike the civilian ship. This was reported in a statement by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk.

The Navy spokesman confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the night attack, but called such actions by the russian army a new precedent. Pletenchuk ironically commented on the incident, wondering what exactly guided the russians when making the decision to attack the ship of their key partner, and whether they will again declare a "terrible mistake".

Recall that on the same night, russia carried out another massive air attack on Ukrainian cities. In particular, Odesa and Dnipro were hit, where local residents reported a series of powerful explosions. So far, official representatives of Beijing and the russian defense ministry have not commented on the incident with the merchant ship.
