Revenues from "Google tax" increase by 28% to UAH 6.9 billion in 4 months
In the first four months of 2026, non-resident companies providing electronic services to Ukrainian users paid over UAH 6.9 billion in so-called "Google tax" to the state budget, a 28% increase compared to the same period last year.
This is stated in a report by the Tax Service, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
In currency terms, this amounts to:
- EUR 52 million;
- USD 97.6 million.
Revenues increased by UAH 1.5 billion compared to the same period last year.
Among the largest taxpayers are: Apple, Google, Meta, Netflix, Sony, Valve, Etsy, Epic Games, and Wargaming.
Since the beginning of this year, another 9 non-resident companies have registered as VAT payers in Ukraine.
In total, there are now 154 international companies that officially pay the “Google tax.”
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, under current legislation, a foreign company is required to register as a VAT payer in Ukraine if, over the past 12 months, the volume of its electronic services provided to Ukrainian users exceeded an amount equivalent to UAH 1,000,000.
