Zelenskyy thanks Peter Magyar for condemning russian missile attack

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the new Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, for his resolute position in condemning another massive shelling of Ukraine by russia.

This is stated in the President's post on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"An important message of condemnation of the russian attack against Ukraine from the Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar. Moscow has once again demonstrated that it is a common threat not only to Ukraine, but also to neighboring countries and Europe as a whole," the President said.

Zelenskyy stressed that the united position of Kyiv and Budapest could become a significant factor in efforts to end the war.

"The attack continues. The first missiles have been launched. Our joint position is important for ending this cruel war. Thank you for your concern and strong position," the President said.

Zelenskyy separately noted that the signal from the Hungarian leader is evidence of understanding the scale of the threat posed by the russian federation to the stability of the entire region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russian troops launched 56 missiles and 675 drones over the territory of Ukraine on the night of Thursday, May 14, and air defense forces managed to neutralize 693 targets - 41 missiles and 652 UAVs.
