Ombudsman Lubinets announces improvement of situation with territorial recruitment centers in some regions - media
In some regions of Ukraine, after the change of leadership of the territorial recruitment and social support centers, the situation has improved. In particular, we are talking about the Khmelnytskyi and Kirovohrad Regions. There have been no high-profile cases there recently.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported this in a comment to the Novyny.LIVE portal.
The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted that this year law enforcement agencies began to respond to violations committed by representatives of the military enlistment office. In particular, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region, the State Bureau of Investigation found evidence of illegal activities by the territorial recruitment and social support center. The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police are also currently systematically conducting work-ups.
"At my repeated insistence, they banned the use of balaclavas, stopped removing military insignia - chevrons... And recently, the spokesmen of the territorial recruitment and social support centers went out into the public space and said that using balaclavas is normal. Although this is directly prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine," Dmytro Lubinets said.
He also added that it is worth waiting for new news regarding the territorial recruitment and social support centers, and expressed hope that this news will be positive.
