208 combat clashes take place on front during day, Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes hottest
On May 7, 208 combat clashes took place on the front, the enemy attacked the most on the Pokrovsk (33 clashes) and Huliaipole (23) axes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched a missile strike using one missile, carried out 99 air strikes, and dropped 292 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the enemy used 9,113 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,126 attacks on settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops, in particular, 131 from multiple launch rocket systems.
On the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes over the past day, ten clashes occurred, the enemy carried out 108 attacks on the positions of troops and settlements, in particular, 23 - using multiple launch rocket systems.
On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, 6 attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, Lyman and towards the settlement of Izbytske.
On the Kupiansk axis, 4 attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Radkivka and Novoplatonivka.
On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 13 attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kovalivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Dibrova and Lyman.
On the Sloviansk axis, the Defense Forces successfully repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance in the area of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis over the past day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, 9 attacks were repelled near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Pleshchiivka and Ivanopillia.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the Defense Forces stopped 33 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Nykyforivka, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Toretske, Nove Shakhove, Udachne, Molodetske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne and towards the settlements of Hannivka, Novopavlivka and Shevchenko.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, 3 attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Kalynivske and Oleksandrohrad.
On the Huliaipole axis, 23 attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Rybne, Dobropillia, Sviatopetrivka, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Verkhnia Tersa, Zaporizhzhia, Charivne and Olenokostiantynivka.
On the Orikhiv axis, 6 attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbaky and Stepnohirsk.
On the Dnieper axis, the defenders successfully stopped three attacks on the axis of the Antonivskyi Bridge and the Bilohrudyi Island.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit six control points, four areas of personnel concentration and one enemy artillery system.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,130 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 6, 157 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked most of all on the Pokrovsk (29 clashes) and Huliaipole (21) axes.
