The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor state of russia summoned the Armenian ambassador to express its outrage over the Ukrainian President’s visit to Yerevan.

This is indicated in a statement by the russian Foreign Ministry.

Russia summoned Armenian Ambassador Gurgen Arsenyan on May 7 for a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor state, the russian federation.

It is noted that he was told that it was categorically unacceptable for Armenia to provide a “platform” for Zelenskyy to voice threats against russia; the statement referred to him as the head of the so-called “Kyiv Nazi regime.” The occupier country uses this propaganda term to discredit Ukraine’s leadership.

The statement also added that moscow is outraged by this and expected a negative reaction from the Armenian authorities, given the “partnership-based nature” of relations between Armenia and russia.

It is claimed that the ambassador promised to report to Yerevan on the remarks from the russian federation.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia is not an ally of the aggressor country russia on the issue of Ukraine: “As for the visit of the President of Ukraine, I have already made statements on this topic. We have sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and I have said that we are not allies of russia on the issue of Ukraine.”

Recall that on May 4, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan (Armenia).
