Large-scale forest fire localized in Carpathians on 3rd day: liquidation work continues

In Zakarpattia and Rivne Region, large-scale fires have been localized in the territory of forestry. There is no open fire, but there is still spot smoldering of individual centers. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service.

Thus, in the territory of the Verkhnio-Volovets forestry, the fire has covered an area of ​​about 75 hectares. 217 people and 30 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire, of which 75 rescuers and 22 units of equipment are from the State Emergency Service. Foresters and volunteers of the Rapid Response Unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross are also working on the ground.

"On the territories of Klesiv Forestry, Rivne Nature Reserve and SFC "Selianskyi lis", the fire has covered an area of ​​about 90 hectares. 51 people and 13 units of equipment are working at the site, including 24 rescuers and 8 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service," rescuers said.

There is no threat to settlements. Fire extinguishing work is ongoing.
