Car explosion in Dnipro investigated as terrorist act

The explosion of a parked car in Dnipro, which occurred on May 7 and resulted in the injury of two people, has been classified as a terrorist act.

This was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office.

A parked car in the Sobornyi district of Dnipro exploded at about 7:30 am. The explosion injured two men.

The prosecutor's office reported that criminal proceedings have now been initiated into a terrorist act (Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk Region under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office.

Meanwhile, prosecutors, law enforcement officers and explosives technicians are working at the scene. The scene is being inspected and all circumstances are being established.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, counterintelligence of the Security Service prevented new terrorist attacks in the Poltava Region. Law enforcement officers detained a minor agent of the aggressor country, the russian federation, who was preparing two explosions in Kremenchuk at once.

Earlier, it became known that the seventh victim of the terrorist attack in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv on April 18 was a janitor. He died in hospital from injuries received during the shooting.
