Drone attack on Odesa Region: high-rise buildings and port infrastructure damaged, there are casualties

On the night of May 1, russian troops attacked Odesa and the Izmail district with drones, as a result of which residential buildings were damaged and fires broke out in the regional center.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration and Izmail District State Administration.

As of 08:19 am in Odesa, two high-rise buildings were damaged, two people were injured. Damage to port infrastructure was also recorded in the region.

At 07:10 am, the Odesa City Military Administration reported one casualty in the city. In the Khadzhybeyskyi district, residential high-rise buildings were recorded to be hit, emergency and utility services were working on the spot.

The head of the Odesa Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, reported that a 16-story building caught fire after the strike, and in another high-rise building, a fire broke out on the 11th and 12th floors.

At about 05:00 am, a strike on port infrastructure was recorded in the Izmail district. The Izmail District State Administration reported that there were no casualties.

Rescuers of the State Emergency Service extinguished the fires that broke out after the shelling. Residents were urged to stay in shelters and respond to air raid sirens.

Recall, on the night of April 30, Odesa came under attack by russian drones, the invaders directed strikes at residential areas and civilian objects in various areas of the city. 16 people were injured, two of them are currently in intensive care.
