Mindich had influence over Fire Point and discussed with Umerov sale of part of company to investors - Ukrainian Pravda

Businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal-95 studio Tymur Mindich, against whom President Volodymyr Zelenskyy imposed personal sanctions, discussed with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Rustem Umerov the sale of his share of the manufacturer of drones and missiles Fire Point.

This was stated by the journalist of Ukrainska Pravda (UP) Mykhailo Tkach, referring to the conversations of the defendants in the "Midas" case, documented by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

According to Tkach, Mindich may be one of the beneficiaries of the Fire Point company. It receives the largest number of contracts from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which was previously headed by Umerov.

"And now the businessman is complaining to the current Minister of Defense that Fire Point is underfunded. Although Tymur Mindich himself denied any involvement in the company during an interview with Ukrainska Pravda in December last year," Tkach says.

The published "tape" suggests that Mindich and Umerov discussed the sale of 33% of Fire Point for USD 600 million. The investor is allegedly ready to invest half of this money in the development of the company, and the other half to transfer directly to shareholders, among whom Mindich himself may be.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the eve, journalists from Ukrainska Pravda published previously unpublished recordings of conversations between those involved in Operation Midas, which exposed a high-ranking criminal organization in the energy sector of Ukraine.

Recall that on November 22, 2025, businessmen Tymur Mindich and Oleksandr Tsukerman were put on the wanted list on suspicion of committing corruption crimes in the energy sector.

However, it later became known that Mindich left Ukraine on November 10. He currently resides in Israel, whose citizenship he holds.
