Russian political leadership is preparing new offensive operations and plans to deploy more personnel by expanding mobilization efforts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated this following a report by Oleh Ivashchenko, the head of the Defense Intelligence.

According to the head of state, the enemy is ignoring its sky-high casualty rates in an attempt to fulfill the kremlin’s objectives at any cost.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the Defense Forces are effectively destroying the occupiers’ offensive capabilities. Currently, the rate of irrecoverable losses in the russian army has reached about 60% of the total number, indicating low survival rates among personnel after injuries and the high intensity of combat. The President noted that even the russians themselves now acknowledge their inability to fully carry out their plans.

In response to the aggressor’s plans, Ukraine is focusing on three strategic directions.

"Ukraine’s task is to further increase the percentage of the occupier’s irrecoverable losses, intensify the use of drones on the front lines, and expand our long-range sanctions against Russian arms production and the oil industry," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

Thus, the main emphasis will be placed on technological superiority at the front and the economic exhaustion of the russian military machine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 5, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that since late January, Ukrainian troops have liberated 480 square kilometers of territory in the south of Ukraine.

As a reminder, on March 16, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had thwarted a strategic offensive operation by the russian federation that it had planned to carry out in March.
