Trump says he speaks with putin and Zelenskyy
US President Donald Trump stated that he has "good conversations" with russian President vladimir putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Reuters reported this on Sunday, April 26.
Trump noted that he is communicating with both presidents because he seeks to resolve the war in Ukraine. According to him, the US is working on a resolution with both russia and Ukraine, and he hopes to achieve a result.
"I do have conversations with him, and I do have conversations with President Zelenskiy, and good conversations," Trump said without specifying when exactly the calls took place.
According to the US president, the animosity between putin and Zelenskyy is absurd and insane, especially when trying to resolve an issue.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 24, US President Donald Trump denied that he had invited russia to the G20 summit, which will take place in Miami on December 14–15. However, he emphasized that if russian dictator vladimir putin were to attend, “it would be helpful.”
On April 24, the russian dictator’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, stated that putin might attend the G20 summit in Miami in December.
