SSU's 'Alpha' recognized as most effective unit of Defense Forces in use of drones

The Security Service of Ukraine's Alpha Special Forces were recognized as the most effective unit of the Defense Forces in the use of drones within the government's Drones for Points program.

It was reported by the SSU, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The head of the SSU, Yevhen Khmara, congratulated Ukrainian gunsmiths on their professional holiday. He noted that Ukrainian gunsmiths make unique products that the SSU uses on the battlefield every day - asymmetrically, unexpectedly for the occupiers, causing maximum damage to them.

"The textbooks of the world's top intelligence services already describe the SSU operations carried out with the help of domestic developments. And Ukrainian gunsmiths are part of these operations," said the SSU Provisional Head.

He thanked them for their technology and work, which, together with the skill of the entire Defense Forces, make it possible to defend Ukraine. Since 2022, the SSU has defeated:

▪️ 2,269 enemy tanks

▪️ 4,104 armored personnel carriers

▪️ 4,587 artillery systems

▪️ 355 MLRSes

▪️ 725 air defense systems

Also, in March, the SSU's Alpha Special Forces were recognized as the most effective unit of the Defense Forces in the use of drones within the government's Drones for Points program.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the SSU Alpha hit 15 russian airplanes at five airfields over the past year.
