There has been tremendous progress in reaching a potential peace agreement with the aggressor country russia. It may not take long to resolve the war. The head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, said this in an interview with Bloomberg.

Budanov noted that the talks are moving towards a settlement. In his opinion, russia also wants to stop the war, so it is negotiating. The head of the President's Office emphasized that it should not take much time. At the same time, Budanov acknowledged that both sides still maintain "maximalist" positions in the talks with the participation of the United States, but stressed that they are getting closer in search of a compromise.

"Russia has a clear incentive to reach an agreement. Unlike us, they are spending their own money. These are huge sums - trillions already," the head of the President's Office emphasized.

Nevertheless, no final decision has been made yet, but now everyone clearly understands the limits of what is acceptable, and this is a huge progress, Budanov emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 9, the head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Ukraine's massive strikes on oil refining and export facilities of the aggressor country russia were affecting the negotiation process. At the next meetings, the russian side should expect "a lot of new things".

On April 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine, through the United States, had submitted a proposal to russia to stop strikes on energy facilities.
