Ukraine will complete repair of Druzhba oil pipeline this spring - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will repair the Druzhba oil pipeline. According to him, it should be completed this spring.

He said this during a conversation with journalists, Ukrinform reports.

"If the issue of European financing in exchange for the possibility of oil supplies continues to be raised, we said when we would repair the Druzhba pipeline. ... I told them that we will finish this spring. A lot has already been done there," the President of Ukraine said.

He added that the Europeans will be responsible for the supply, while Ukraine will carry out repairs, "because this is the agreement."

Zelenskyy noted that the destroyed tanks cannot be repaired quickly. Therefore, it is only about resuming the transit process with all the risks.

"Moreover, we do not know whether the Russians will refrain from new attacks," he added.

In addition, commenting on the upcoming elections in Hungary, Zelenskyy emphasized that "this is their business. We have nothing to do with their elections."

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said, that his country would gradually stop gas supplies to Ukraine until oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline is resumed.

Also on March 5, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that he would not compromise with Ukraine and will end the "Ukrainian blockade" of the Druzhba pipeline by force.
